Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to professional services engagements for multi-entity consolidation audits, elimination testing, consolidation pack preparation, and group reporting readiness workshops offered by Insightful Data Analytics. It does not cover physical products, software licences, or online checkout purchases — none of which are sold through this website.

How fees are agreed

Fees are set out in a written engagement letter or scope confirmation before work starts. Website prices are guides only. Invoices are issued according to that agreement (for example deposit on acceptance and balance on delivery of the findings memo or pack).

Refund eligibility

Full refund of amounts paid is available if we cancel the engagement before substantive work begins, or if we fail to deliver the agreed core deliverable and cannot remediate within a reasonable time. Partial refunds may apply if only part of a scoped engagement is completed, calculated against milestones described in the engagement letter.

Timeframe to request a refund

Refund requests should be made in writing within 14 days of the invoice date for billing disputes, or within 14 days of the stated delivery date if a deliverable was not provided. Later requests are considered only where required by law or where we agree there was a material service failure.

Non-refundable items

• Time already spent on planning, entity mapping, pack review, or fieldwork that has produced usable working papers or draft findings.
• Deposits expressly marked non-refundable in the engagement letter after a kick-off call has occurred and information requests have been issued.
• Third-party costs we incur with your prior written approval (for example company search fees), which are recharged at cost.

Cancellation by you

You may cancel in writing before kick-off for a full refund of fees paid, less any agreed non-refundable deposit if a reserved start date caused us to decline other work. After kick-off, fees for work performed to the cancellation date remain payable; unused prepaid amounts for unfinished milestones may be refunded proportionally.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule a workshop or review start date once without charge if you give at least five business days’ notice. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee reflecting diary impact, disclosed before confirmation.

Deposits

Where a deposit secures a start date in a busy close season, the engagement letter states whether that deposit is credited to the final fee and under what conditions it is forfeited (for example cancellation inside five business days of kick-off).

No-shows

If a scheduled workshop or walkthrough does not proceed because your attendees do not join and you have not rescheduled in time, the session fee may be charged in full. We will offer one alternative date within 30 days where capacity allows.

Work already started

Once we have begun reviewing packs, testing eliminations, or drafting findings, refunds exclude the value of that work. You remain entitled to receive work product completed to the cancellation date, subject to fee settlement.

Purchased materials

We do not sell inventory or physical kits. Templates or checklists included in an engagement are part of the professional deliverable and are not separately refundable once delivered.

Refund process and timing

Email consolidation@insightfuldataanalytics.digital with your engagement reference, reason for the request, and preferred contact. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method where possible, or by bank transfer to an account you nominate in writing.

Exceptions

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights under UK consumer law where you engage as a consumer. Statutory audit opinions and regulated audit appointments are outside the scope of services marketed on this site; if an engagement borders regulated work, the engagement letter will state any additional terms.
